BB-8 is a resourceful and loyal astromech droid featured in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. His first appearance was in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

This spherical droid, known to be part of the Resistance, is vital to the mission of locating Luke Skywalker. He carries a piece of a map necessary to find the missing Jedi Master.
